James Joseph was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, to missionary parents. He spent the first 18 years of his life in Tokyo. He received his real estate license at age 18 in 1981, immediately specializing in the sale of apartment buildings. He subsequently went on to win several dozen Centurion Awards, the top sales honor in the world’s largest real estate organization. He also earned the prestigious and elusive Century 21 Grand Centurion Award, which at the time was awarded to the top one-tenth of one percent of salespeople in that organization.

Joseph put himself through college by selling real estate and, in the early 1980s, helped Century 21 International expand into Japan. Logging more than 82 round trips, since graduating from high school to Japan, He played a key role in establishing one of the only successful American real estate brands in Japan, which today has approximately 1,000 offices nationwide. Dozens of other American brands have attempted to succeed in Japan but have failed.

Joseph communicates with over 30,000 apartment owners in East Los Angeles and North Orange County, and over the course of his career has closed nearly 3,000 apartment units and listed more than 600 apartment buildings. His list of 200 active, highly qualified and aggressive apartment buyers that he has gathered over the years puts them in a unique position to find the best buyer for your property.

The grandson of a Realtor in Chicago, Illinois, Joseph now works alongside his two sons—both licensed real estate professionals—to carry this 45-year career into the next generation.

Joseph has been involved in the sale of tens of thousands of real estate properties in Southern California. He co-owned eight real estate offices, covering riverside, orange and Los Angeles County with 400 agents, often closing up to 40 transactions per office, per month. He owned a property management company, a graphics design company, a mortgage company, an escrow company and a real estate licensing school to supplement this activity.
